ABOUT

The BLOOMS Story

Chi Nguyen & Myhang Bach are first-generation Vietnamese immigrants; their journey reflects resilience, hope, and gratitude. The initial challenging decades 1980-1990’s, supported by relatives, friends & community, have left a profound impact on them. Such assistance often becomes a turning point, encouraging people in general, and Myhang & Chi in particular, to give back. They have been blessed with two precious adult children - Cecilia & Hans, rewarding careers, and good health.

The full Bach-Nguyen family volunteered with Outreach 360 organization to teach English in the Dominican Republic when Cecilia & Hans were pre-teens. The family has also joined the Good Samaritan Medical and Dental Ministry & the Social Assistance Program for Viet Nam in medical missions to Vietnam from 2016-2025.

In 2024, Chi and Myhang pivoted to visiting, providing financial & medical support to safe homes such as orphanages & hospice centers. The safe homes range from orphanages for abandoned infants, disabled children, to HIV infected children, to transitional homes for unwed pregnant women, to hospice for the abandoned.  Their range of support stretches from Kien Giang in Southern Vietnam, to Phan Ranh / Hue in the Central, to Bac Ninh, Northern Vietnam. In 2025, health care professionals joined in the orphanage visits to provide medical care.

To share their blessings, Chi, Myhang, along with a few of their closest friends established Project BLOOMS.

We stand to empower all that we work with through your generosity, and 100% of your donations benefit these safe homes.

Project BLOOMS is a reminder of the power of gratitude, hope, and community. The Project’s success stories encourage us to see the potential in helping the vulnerable and building a world where everyone can overcome obstacles!
